On this episode of the Tarot Coven ‘Cast...we’re continuing our journey through the suits of the Tarot, as we float through the realm of Air, and contemplate the thoughts and beliefs that make up our mental beings, in the suit of Swords. We discuss the energy of the Swords overall, outline some correspondences and misconceptions, and then we take a closer look at the cards from Ace through Ten. The journey through the Swords can have us tackling uncomfortable truths, facing our fears head-on, and throwing away old narratives that don’t align with who we are anymore. All in all, it’s a suit that helps us to acknowledge and communicate our deepest truths. Sutra 2.49 says: Tasmin satisvasa prasvasayoh gativicchedah pranayamah Tasmin -
on this sati – being accomplished svasa – inbreath, inhalation prasvasayoh – outbreath, exhalation gati – movement, motion, path vicchedah – cessation, stop pagepranayamah – regulation. Pranayama is the regulation of the incoming and outgoing flow of breath with retention.
It is to be practiced only after perfection in asana is achieved. It's more then just breathing friends.
